Commercial director Dennis Liu, therefore, had a heck of a challenge when approached by Microsoft to hype the upcoming release of Office 2010. But Liu rose admirably to it with the film trailer spoof Office 2010: The Movie. “My idea was to treat [Office] like the most exciting thing ever,” he said via phone. “And what’s more exciting than an action movie?”

Source: campaignlive Nike Music Shoe is an awesome ad for the Nike Free Run+ shoe. In the video you can see Hifana doing a live performance by using the shoes as controllers. By bending the flexible sole of the Nike Free Run+, they can control different sounds. I’m actually pretty sure that it is real because I think that I spotted Daito Manabe in the video. And we all know what he’s capable of. I guess they’ve used some flexible sensors and hooked them up to MaxMSP. Great work! And yes, the shoes used in the video are the real sound controllers. Tomoaki Yanagisawa of 4nchor5 la6 was responsible for the hardware part. He added flexible and accelerometer sensors to the shoes. Daito Manabe of rhizomatiks did the sound programming with Max. They were both commissioned by Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo for this project. Google's latest translator app lets you communicate with your feathered and furry friends. Whatever it is, we will have to wait until June to find out what the twistdock actually is. Until then, we have to make do with this nifty commercial Swatch Creart / Grems from THANK YOU on Vimeo. For a high profile launch in Venice of the new Swatch Art Collection, a series of watches decorated by international artists. We were commissioned by Swatch to tie together the entire campaign by unifying the different watches into one over-arching idea. Our brainchild was the Art Machine, a crazy, fast moving mechanical-looking device that creates art and spits out watches, while working to a time-related beat. A colorful mixture of materials and techniques achieved the right attitude for the films with the campaign successfully launched on all media fronts world wide.

Unfortunately I couldn't find out who exactly made it for Drench. All I know is, these clever commercials would definately appeal to a wide audience. And before I forget, they have a beautiful website too! Here is a simple and ideal recipe for that late friday afternoon break; Have 2 Saatchi's and mix it with some plastic from Tokyo.
