In case you were unaware, games are everywhere these days. And we're not just talking about on your iPhone, or on Facebook, either. Everywhere you look, you're surrounded by some sort of game. As Carnegie-Mellon professor Jesse Schell pointed out in a lecture he gave back in February, everything from walking (geo-caching) to eating (Weight Watchers Points) to driving has become a game in one way or another. Even school has been turned into a 'World of Warcraft'-style quest for success. So, it only makes sense that someone would eventually create a game about, well, creating games.
Liselore Goedhart, an artist from the Utrecht School of the Arts, has turned the act of brainstorming and designing games into a card game called Game Seeds. The cards contain different elements of character and game design, and the goal is to combine and "hack" them in unique ways to create a hero, a sidekick, and -- ultimately -- a complete narrative.
The design of the cards is decidedly old school, and more than a tad on the adorable side. Check out a few more images, including the full-size version of the one above, here.
